An ascetic photographer's aspirations to break free from her chains of oppression at the hands of those who she should have been able to trust the most.
Today's Sky is a psychosexual trauma visual novel. The story follows Lucy, a spiteful 19-year-old woman seeking to break free from the grasp of her captors and find independence. In the circumstances of a relationship that relies heavily on punishment and confiscation, she abandons all of her possessions in the name of that elusive freedom. Yet, there was one thing left she didn't realize she had yet given up: her dignity.
Development of this free project began late in June 2026 and ran until release in July 2026. The length is ~2,500 words. A really interesting and affecting story, though the writing felt, at times, somewhat stilted or over-expository. Enjoyed the camera effects a bunch, and really wished there were more of this VN overall, to really let the reader absorb the atmosphere and powerful lingering emotions.

know you didn't make the music, but one of the songs having the same progression as a persona song distracted me a lil lol.
I understand that feeling of childhood suffocation—the solace of privacy as an intermittent gamble, not a right or guarantee. And, similar enough in thematics to the Reiki, I incurred some obsessive mental tendencies from my mom constantly listening to The Secret on audiobook on the way to school. So, I related to a portion of this more than most of the entries I've played so far.
I enjoyed the presentation and writing, and the visuals were very nice too. This feels like it's destined to be a "short and sweet" type of story, but still I felt like the ending came a bit too soon—I have a bit of an unresolved taste in my mouth. I'm not looking for a happy end or explicit closure or anything, I just wish there was a tad bit more substance. But I still found this enjoyable. Excellent work!

Really really good presentation all around, the intro transition in particular is definitely something I've never seen before in a VN. The framing through the camera's display is really nice as well. Everything starts off so calm and beautiful through the photography shown, but of course something like that can only last so long.
I'm not really quite sure what else to say about this, other than damn. Very hard hitting, well done.

sublime photography too. it really just feels like earnest, sincere photos from a teen. and that adds onto the horror of mundanity. short and simple and just, so so horrid all around
